VPN not working on Windows 10 1903

I am an IT technician at an IT company. One of our clients has asked us to install a fresh version of Windows onto 6 of their PCs.

These PC's are old PC's that they do not use - meaning that they have had a fresh version of Windows installed onto them. This has been upgraded to 1903. I have attempted to setup a VPN connection in order to connect the PC's to the company's domain. When doing so, the VPN connection just hangs on 'Connecting to vpn'

I know 1903 is still very new into the world, but wondering if anyone knows how this issue can be resolved?

    Um, No. Wrong. It's waiting for credentials because of a bug in the tray code with SAVED credentials. 

    My reply was actually directed at the initial topic/question, which does not mention "SAVED" credentials ANYWHERE. Every company I have ever heard of has a strict policy against employees saving ANY kind of password/username information, that is simply bad practice. I experienced the SAME situation without having checked "REMEMBER CREDENTIALS". Therefore, this is a valid workaround given the explanation of that particular situation. In the future, you should probably read the topic again before spouting off something not relevant just because it does not apply to YOUR particular situation.

    Yesterday I ran the Surface Diagnostic Toolkit, (I have a Surface Laptop 2, running Windows 10 pro 1903) because of some other issue.

    Now starting the VPN from the system tray network icon does work!

    My build is now: 18362.592

    I also see in the windows update history that 2 days ago 2 other updates have been installed:

    - https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4532938/kb4532938-cumulative-update-for-net-framework

    - https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4528760/windows-10-update-kb4528760

    That may also have fixed it.
