Windows 10 v1903 - ntoskrnl.exe & ISR/DPC latency spikes

Hi,

After updating to 1903 LatencyMon associates ntoskrnl.exe with large latency spikes on the order of ~1,300µs. Same results with KB4497935.

I posted here too as I thought it could be related to the GPU driver:

Others are also reporting similar symptoms. E.g. in some instances this results in noticeable audio clicks/pops.

Does anyone at Microsoft acknowledge this?

SOLUTION:

KB4505903 seems to have significantly mitigated the ntoskrnl.exe latency spikes for many users.

    Microsoft wants to force the update to 1903 soon.

    I don't understand why they would do that while this critical bug HAS NOT BEEN FIXED YET.

    This is mindblowing, how do they even come up with such decision, as far as I know they never acknowledged the input lag issues!

    I can't use my studio with 1903 installed...stutters all over the place during tracking and playback. Works fine with 1809 for now, untill 1903 is hopefully fixed. Microsoft can't not know about this. I have seen people with brand new computers with latest i9 processors reporting same problem.

    Upgraded to 1903 is possibly the worst decision of my life in 2019 by far.

    Annoying sound popping/crackling even in just simple multi-tasking like spotify+8 chrome tabs. Super annoying.

    dxgkrnl.sys,ntoskrnl.exe and wdf01000.sys spiking up and down like my heartbeat when i'm talking to the girls.

    And i cannot downgrade because "This option is no longer available because your PC was updated more than 10 days ago". My god. Look at the message windows are giving me. A month passed and this bug is still present. like cmon man you can't do this to me and those users.

    I have tried to use version 1903 twice, once after update that came out July 9th. Fortunately I could roll back to 1809.  There is a way to get Windows 10 version 1809, but you have to do clean install now...may not be good option for you...Here is a link I found on how to create an ISO of Windows 10 version 1809 >>>  https://pureinfotech.com/windows-10-1809-iso-download/

    Hope a fix comes out for version 1903...
