Windows 10 v1903 - ntoskrnl.exe & ISR/DPC latency spikes

I'm having the same issues and on both of my computers. One is an I7 2nd gen and the other is an I5 3rd gen. I have my DAW computer (I7)  rolled back to version 1809 and works perfectly.  Hope they fix things soon.

After updating to 1903 LatencyMon associates ntoskrnl.exe with large latency spikes on the order of ~1,300µs. Same results with KB4497935.

Others are also reporting similar symptoms. E.g. in some instances this results in noticeable audio clicks/pops.

I posted this in June 17 and I have to update it because I have found a very important change:

After 1903 update I have done what I always have to do to avoid latency problems that interfere with sound (glitches, pops, etc). What works for me is to disable in "device administrator" panel the "High Definition Audio Controller". In my case it appears twice: one for the Realtek audio chip and one for Nvidia HDA. I use an audio interface via USB and the only audio drivers in use are the steinberg (yamaha). Otherwise if I don't disable HDA Controller (Microsoft) the driver hdaudbus.sys give problems of latency.

After this 1903 update I had at first ntoskrnl.exe  spikes of 4000 microsec. and after disabling the two HDA Controller the problem has gone. Besides I follow the general advices to work with sound in windows (power settings, CPU throttle, performance settings, etc.)

Still I was having some ntoskrnl.exe spikes something like one every four minutes. And then I remembered another useful tweak to deal with latency in Windows: to disable audio on-board in the BIOS. I used to have the audio chipset disabled in the BIOS but I enabled it again months ago to use a certain program. Well, I have disabled it again and the ntoskrnl.exe spikes are gone. I have tested with latencymon for 30 minutes.

Now in device administrator there is only one "High Definition Audio Controller" (Nvidia) and it is disabled. And the active sound device is the USB audio interface. My desktop is an old HP Pavilion Slimline (2009). I don't know if this is definitive solution. But it seems there has been a change.

I have found A work around for the ntoskrnl.exe latency issue.

Moving your page file off of you system drive to a separate SSD i have achieved a complete reduction in latency spikes that result in Audio stutter in DAWs. Mind you an HHD will not work it has to be an SSD, and your system drive page file has to be disabled or multi access I/O will not function properly and will choke on system access to page file access. 

So far i have only determined this with work with the dxgkrnl.sys Spike which is a latency spike with cause by NVIDIA graphics card hardware interrupt requests.

that is escentialy the same lag spike. the dxgkrnl.sys is the graphics system making a hardware interupt request to the ntoskrnl.exe. im having this same issue using an NVIDIA 1070 gtx. one sugestion was to dissable all of the sound devices on the cards. i do not knownif this makes a difference. i havnt tested it yet. reinstalling drivers didn't help.
