Windows 10 v1903 - ntoskrnl.exe & ISR/DPC latency spikes

Hi,

After updating to 1903 LatencyMon associates ntoskrnl.exe with large latency spikes on the order of ~1,300µs. Same results with KB4497935.

I posted here too as I thought it could be related to the GPU driver:

Others are also reporting similar symptoms. E.g. in some instances this results in noticeable audio clicks/pops.

Are you seeing similar results?

Does anyone at Microsoft acknowledge this?

It should be easily reproducible.

SOLUTION:

KB4505903 seems to have significantly mitigated the ntoskrnl.exe latency spikes for many users.

    Yes! Some initial tests show a significant improvement with the latest patch:

    I highly recommend testing it out for confirmation.

    Hello,

    Can we expect information from Microsoft ? This latency problem brings by 1903 is not enouth important to have some quick action for your customers ?

    I have tried to use version 1903 twice, once after update that came out July 9th. Fortunately I could roll back to 1809.  There is a way to get Windows 10 version 1809, but you have to do clean install now...may not be good option for you...Here is a link I found on how to create an ISO of Windows 10 version 1809 >>>  https://pureinfotech.com/windows-10-1809-iso-download/

    Hope a fix comes out for version 1903...
