2019-04 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1809 for x64-based Systems (KB4495667) - Error 0x80070005

Have been trying for several days now trying to get this latest Update to install.  I've read every post I could find online, run every batch file to reset/clear updates services, run sfc, run malwarebytes (all clear), ran Dism utility, and finally reinstalled Windows10, twice - once from old iso about a year old, and one from a new download from MS yesterday.  Still won't install!  (Did reinstall Win10 keeping apps and data files.)

All Batch Files did what they were supposed to do, pretty sure anyway, resetting Windows update services.

SFC found nothing.

Clean Boot removing all services didn't help.

Dism /ScanHealth came back finding a repairable problem, but /RestoreHealth freezes around 86.5% and gives me a timeout error of 12002.

Malwarebytes found nothing.

Both re installs of windows 10 went without a hitch, and all updates EXCEPT Cumulative Update downloaded and installed properly.

I also found in one of the posts a batch file that was supposed to reset all permissions, which the above error supposedly indicates, and it went through without any errors, but still nothing.

Any other suggestions would really be appreciated.

    Hi RahulKAR,

Still waiting on release of Version 1903, but what is really strange, and Monika picked up on it too, is how many cumulative updates for version 1809 have been released THIS MONTH?  Monika said four, and I checked it out and it has been four.  But guess what, I just received a NEW Update, number five for April, KB4497934.  Maybe Microsoft is releasing all these updates, hoping one will be able to install, resolving the installation problem, in preparation for Version 1903?  I won't know for a while, I'm limited on amount of data I can use, and I have double data available from 02:00-08:00, and it's only 01:00, I'll wait and see if this is the lucky KB!

    Hi Gordo,

yeah same. Any other updates from Adobe to .NET are installing fine, without any issues, errors anything. Only Cumulative Updates are failing. I also remember, right before 1809 was released, that on my new laptop also were problems with installing latest and last updates before new version was released. So I am hoping for smooth install of 1903 version.

Don't even think of installing 1903 today. Wait for its next Cumulative update release. The build will then have that update right from beginning.

    Hi Monika,

You know I don't think anyone from Microsoft has  really joined this conversation, at least not to my knowledge.  I'm surprised, because every other time I've read other problems on the forum, it seems someone from Microsoft has joined the conversation with suggestions.  But since you said they told you they didn't have a solution I guess that must be the reason.  I've been hiding all my failed attempts too.  Just another bit of information to add, I have Visual Studio and MS Office on this PC and all the cumulative updates, and security updates for those apps, and Windows Defender, .NET Framework, Adobe Flash Player cumulative updates all install just fine.  It just Windows 10 OS updates that fail.

    Hi Gordo,

considering that Microsoft answered about these problems, and they don't have solution. I think they don't know what the hell is going on. Just wait for 1903. But if it happens again in version 1903, I won't reinstall, I will just start hidding updates, like I am doing now.

About 2 PC. On my previous laptop updates are installing perfectly (considering when I bought a laptop it was Windows 8 installed), on this new, which already had Windows 10 Home installed when I bought it, the updates are not installing. So I really don't know if here is any connection.

What I really hate is these error codes. I would really prefer a text of an error, not some code, which you can not resolve. And then you're Google it like an idiot and still don't find a solution for problem neither for errors what they mean.
