2019-04 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1809 for x64-based Systems (KB4495667) - Error 0x80070005

Have been trying for several days now trying to get this latest Update to install.  I've read every post I could find online, run every batch file to reset/clear updates services, run sfc, run malwarebytes (all clear), ran Dism utility, and finally reinstalled Windows10, twice - once from old iso about a year old, and one from a new download from MS yesterday.  Still won't install!  (Did reinstall Win10 keeping apps and data files.)

All Batch Files did what they were supposed to do, pretty sure anyway, resetting Windows update services.

SFC found nothing.

Clean Boot removing all services didn't help.

Dism /ScanHealth came back finding a repairable problem, but /RestoreHealth freezes around 86.5% and gives me a timeout error of 12002.

Malwarebytes found nothing.

Both re installs of windows 10 went without a hitch, and all updates EXCEPT Cumulative Update downloaded and installed properly.

I also found in one of the posts a batch file that was supposed to reset all permissions, which the above error supposedly indicates, and it went through without any errors, but still nothing.

Any other suggestions would really be appreciated.

    Hi RahulKAR,

what's funny with these updates, that for example I suggested Gordo to install KB4490481 which was also the last update my laptop could install. And this update also installed fine for Gordo. Any further update, starting with KB4493509 goes wrong. And searching through news, there are alot of people having problems with these last updates making them doing repair upgrade..But as Gordo said, even reinstall is not a solution anymore, it's not working for him. Also someone at Youtube said, that he contacted Microsoft about these problems, and they said that the only solution is doing repair upgrade or reinstalling Windows. So I am really starting to think that it's not problem with our PC or laptops.

    Hi Gordo,

no, same is with me. Failed to install and pops the same error as at pervious updates. I don't care about these updates anymore, I mean 4 updates in 1 month? That's ridiculous.

    Hi Monika,

Just curious, did you get and try to install the latest Update-KB4505056?  Just wanted to let you know I got this update early this morning and tried to install it, and as usual it failed to install with the same error code.  Just a heads up.

It installed fine for me through Windows Update.

I am glad that at least KB4490481 was installed without errors. KB4490481 was also my last update which installed without fail. Keep searching and at the same time wait patiently for 1903 upgrade.

    Keep us inform. :)
