How to stop Yourphone.exe process in Windows 10?

@LegacyOfHerot - I think it has more to do with Microsoft being a "control freak".  Case and point - have you tried to uninstall Skype recently?  It can be done, but unless there have been some serious changes recently, it isn't easy nor is it achievable by the average user.  I know of maybe 3 people that use it, but everyone gets it preinstalled (and executed), like it or not. 

Same too here with YourPhone.  Why must I have to scour the internet and become familiar with specialized PowerShell commands just to remove a program I never wanted, needed, nor asked for that is consuming MY resources.  So thank you Microsoft yet again for pushing the **** you like down my throat (because as you intimated LegacyOfHerot, we're too stupid to figure it out on our own). 

And not for nothing, but if I wanted to use the command-line (err, sorry, "Power-Shell"!) to manage my OS, I'd use Linux which was actually DESIGNED to work that way, not retrofitted in to back-fill some deficiency in your software.

Thanks Caleb... I have to admit I found the solution on a separate website after a frantic search and just thought I'd save everyone else the hassle. If I had known that fix myself I wouldn't have been looking in this forum in the first place! My PC keyboard doesn't seem to have that 'pipe' symbol, as you call it, and I wasn't able to simply copy and paste the command either. Had to actually type it in and be mindful of the spaces, etc. Weird. Oh well, at least it works! Cheers!

I think it's a Microsoft app that lets you sync your phone with your computer, or something like that. So yes, it's basically official Microsoft junk. This is the best kind of junk because at least it's trustworthy and not a virus.

The solution doesn't work for me, however, because the app still runs. I have to close it every time my computer starts.
