    Hi,

If possible, connect the Pc and the phone directly to the wifi router, not to a device's hotspot.

However I suggest you to shutdown the app both on your Pc and on your phone, then retry.

Then tell me if the problem shows up again.

I've gone through the process of uninstalling/unlinking everything probably 100 times since moving to Android back in April.  Every few days it completely dies and I'm stuck trying over and over and over and over and over and over and over to get it to work again.

Someone in this development team needs to be fired.  Everyone in this development team needs to be fired.  The inability to do some simple syncing is astounding.  The fact there's some chicken-and-egg scenario with the app versus PC is partly what's killing this stupid thing.

I'm so furious I don't even know what to think.  I've been a developer for 27 years now, if I had 1/10000th of the issues this app has had in the past year of operation, I'd be completely out of business.

MS, if there's a service issue, change your app to NOTIFY US, so we know your system is broken and WE DON'T KEEP TRYING.

MS, there's some damned signal that needs to be sent to the fabric, give us a god damned button so we can resend it.  Uninstalling/reinstalling/getting text messages/unlinking/resetting/etc IS NOT WORKING.

MS, create diagnostic files, SOMETHING we can look at to try and DIAGNOSE **** is wrong with your damned software so we can WORK AROUND IT.

MS, -fire- this development team.  If they can't work this out in a year of being live, they don't deserve the job.

Yup, that first step is really important.  I had this issue for several days and just solved it using step 1.  I had a problematic account with the Fix Now button showing...only it wouldn't fix!  The issue turned out to be an old Work/School account I was given when helping out at an on-line event a month or so back.  Unknown to me was that this account went away sometime after the event concluded and I forgot I still had it as a connected account.  The Fix Now button did NOT show me this account (it was no longer valid and available), so it couldn't fix it.  The light bulb came on when I found the account still listed as connected under Settings > Accounts > Access work or school.  The instant I disconnected this account from Windows 10, the Your Phone Companion app finished it's connection with my Android phone and things are normal again.
