slow start up stores settings like this BUT that wont last. it will go away.

The issue has NOT been fixed and there seems to belittle hope that it will be fixed.

Sorry, what is "slow start up"? Brightness changes and this means that some portion of programming code inside Windows determines if power is plugged in and adjusts light according to the settings. I think if MS will not issue special fix to remove this code, it will work further. And MS will definitly not issue a fix to remove smth they do not care at all.

I follow this thread for a long time having the same problem. I stayed on 1809 as long as it was possible but at last had to reboot and got 1903 (1909 now). I also missing these setting BUT luckily my laptop still changes brightness when I unplug power to the same level as it was in 1809.

So good news that Windows stores somewhere my brightness settings that I set in 1809 when they were available. It is probably registry or smth else.

I think we have to find this place and we'll have workaround. Can anyone help to find where they are?

Are you talking about the Night light settings?

If so go Settings, System, Display.

Also you can right click on the desktop nd pick Display settings.
