‘No applicable devices linked to Microsoft account’

i have been trying to download sims 4 on my windows 10 lenovo. It says ‘you own this game’ and gives me the option to ‘install on my devices’ however when i click this, it tells me i dont have any applicable devices linked to my microsoft account. I do have a microsoft account and it is linked to my windows 10 laptop. Is this an issue with windows 10? It was very expensive so i therefore expect to get my moneysworth. Do i need am Xbox account? Is that the issue? Very frustrated i just wanted the sims and have discovered that many people have the same issue. Help me microsoft!

    Hi Greg, I have an issue. I clicked on the free trial of Minecraft but when i went on the page it said the same error, I even logged on two of my devices but still the same message please reach out to me when you have time

    Hi Maggie, I also had this same exact issue. After trying everything mentioned in these replies and scouring almost every forum/website on the internet, the only thing that ended up working was going to C >Windows > SoftwareDistribution > DataStore > DataStore.edb and delete DataStore.edb. Then restart your computer. It is completely safe. Just another step that most people have not tried but worked. Hope this helps you too!

    I have tried to get among us i bought it it says i own it but i don't have a applicable devices if u need a Xbox that's what i have i linked my Xbox account and how do i get my games because i spent money on this game and i don't want to waist my money

    I have exactly the same issues with Among US game.  All MS accounts have been validated as signed in correctly.  Bit disappointing this issue seems to be unresolved for over 2 years and no updates from MS.  I should have known better and purchased the game on the Apple Store with my Ipad :-)
