Driver IRQL Not Less or Equal Windows 10

I recently bought a used Asus Z370-A motherboard and processor and noticed I've been getting reoccuring "BSOD Driver IRQL Not Less or Equal", once with Watchdog Violation, and once with Kmode Exception Not Handled.

I believe this is a driver issue with my PCI-e express cards but it could also be an issue with my motherboard.

Can anyone take a look at my DMP file and let me know which it might be?

Thanks!

    Hi Benny,

    Open Windows File Explorer

    Navigate to C:\Windows\Minidump

Zip up the contents of that folder

If you have problems zipping those files, copy them out onto your Desktop and zip them from there

Upload the zip file to the Cloud (OneDrive, DropBox . . . etc.)

Then post a link here to the zip file, so we can take a look for you . . .

To know what exactly is causing the crashes, I need to analyze minidumps generated by crashes with WinDBG. WinDBG is the only tool which can do end to end complete analysis of ..dmp files generated by BSOD (Blue screen of death).

    Go to C:\Windows\Minidump

Zip the contents of the folder corresponding to date and time of your crashes.

Upload the content to Onedrive or any other file sharing site for me to locate the problem

If you need help to generate Minidump - http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/wiki...

Sure thing here is the zipped mini dump files.

    https://drive.google.com/file/d/1\_uCLqi0KGBai\_3HbYfZ3J8SsrqCjTXNL/view?usp=sharing

I have run Driver Verifier following the instructors here

    https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows\_10-update/driver-verifier-tracking-down-a-mis-behaving/f5cb4faf-556b-4b6d-95b3-c48669e4c983

That led me to reoccuring BDOS with no XXXX.sys file listed in the message. I had to reboot in safe mode and then turn off Device Verifier.

    Hi Benny

Your minidump files indicate the main cause of your crashing is the Renesas USB 3.0 Device Driver

You should check the support page for your Asus Z370-A motherboard or the Reneas website for updated device drivers . . .

Also mentioned in 2 of those minidump files is epfwwfp.sys which is a virtual driver for ESET smart security

    1. To evaluate the BSOD please post logs for troubleshooting.

Using administrative command prompt copy and paste this whole command.

    1. Make sure the default language is English so that the logs can be scanned and read.

    https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/3813-language-add-remove-change-windows-10-a.html

The command will automatically collect the computer files and place them on the desktop.

    1. Then use 7zip to organize the files and one drive or drop box to place share links into the thread for troubleshooting.

    https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Share-OneDrive-files-and-folders-9fcc2f7d-de0c-4cec-93b0-a82024800c07

This command will automatically collect these files:  msinfo32, mini dumps, drivers, hosts, install, uninstall, services, startup, event viewer files, etc.

    1. Open administrative command prompt and copy and paste the whole command:

    copy %SystemRoot%\minidump\*.dmp "%USERPROFILE%\Desktop"&dxdiag /t %Temp%\dxdiag.txt&copy %Temp%\dxdiag.txt "%USERPROFILE%\Desktop\SFdebugFiles"&type %SystemRoot%\System32\drivers\etc\hosts >> "%USERPROFILE%\Desktop\hosts.txt"&systeminfo > "%USERPROFILE%\Desktop\systeminfo.txt"&driverquery /v > "%USERPROFILE%\Desktop\drivers.txt" &msinfo32 /nfo "%USERPROFILE%\Desktop\msinfo32.nfo"&wevtutil qe System /f:text > "%USERPROFILE%\Desktop\eventlog.txt"&reg export HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall "%USERPROFILE%\Desktop\uninstall.txt"&reg export "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Active Setup\Installed Components" "%USERPROFILE%\Desktop\installed.txt"&net start > "%USERPROFILE%\Desktop\services.txt"&REM wmic startup list full /format:htable >"%USERPROFILE%\Desktop\startup.html"&wmic STARTUP GET Caption, Command, User >"%USERPROFILE%\Desktop\startup.txt"

    1. There are two files for you to find manually:

    a) C:\Windows\MEMORY.DMP

Use file explorer > this PC > local C: drive > right upper corner search enter the above to find results.

    b) dxdiag:

In the left lower corner search type:  dxdiag > When the DirectX Diagnostic Tool opens click on the next page button so that each tab is opened > click on save all information > save to desktop > post one drive or drop box share link into the thread

    1. Uninstall and reinstall this driver:  rusb3xhc.sys

    https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/wiki/windows\_10-update/updating-a-driver/a5e6345e-af9b-4099-bef0-8d22254aa1c1

Renesas Electronics Corporation USB 3.0 Host Controller Driver

    http://am.renesas.com/products/tools/middleware\_and\_drivers/c\_driver/downloads.jsp

    1. Please run the administrative command prompt command before uninstalling and reinstalling the driver.
    2. A more comprehensive analysis of the computer environment can be performed with the above files.
    3. Restart Windows driver verifier after the driver is replaced.
    4. After each bsod rerun the administrative command prompt command to collect new files and post a zip into the thread.
    5. For the next few BSOD open file explorer > this PC > C: > in the right upper corner search for C:\windows\memory.dmp > if the file size is < 1.5 GB then zip and post a share link into the thread (one drive, drop box, google drive)
