Windows 10: Sudden activation Error

Having had a legitimate copy of Win10x64 Pro since release, today I have been presented with an activation error (0xC004C003). Running the trouble shooter tells me that I I have a Win10 HOME licence (which is a false statement). Looking at my MS account online it clearly states I have a pro licence. There has been no hardware changes

We are aware of reports that some customers’ Windows 10 Pro and Windows 10 Enterprise machines are not recognizing their licenses as activated. Users may receive the following notification: “Error: you are running Windows 10 Pro, but you have valid digital license for Windows 10 Home," or one of the following error codes 0X803F8001, 0xC004C003.

We are actively working to resolve this within 24 hours. You can still use your PC; however, the watermark will appear until activation is restored. Thank you for your patience.

We will update this post with additional information as needed and once activations are restored.

    Hi,

    Known issue. To confirm you are affected.

    Right click Start>Command Prompt-Admin and type in the following command:

    slmgr.vbs /dlv

    You will get a window, take a screenshot using snipping tool and paste it it next reply.

    I have the exact same issue since I logged on today (in UK) and was just about to make a post about it. I've been running Window 10 Pro since day 1 (from an upgrade from Win 8 Pro) and have had no recent hardware changes. It's reassuring to know my account hasn't been messed up somehow.

    Exactly my issue, a legitimate Windows 10 Home build, recently upgraded (September 2018) to Pro as of this morning tells me I am not activated.
