Windows 10: Sudden activation Error

Having had a legitimate copy of Win10x64 Pro since release, today I have been presented with an activation error (0xC004C003). Running the trouble shooter tells me that I I have a Win10 HOME licence (which is a false statement). Looking at my MS account online it clearly states I have a pro licence. There has been no hardware changes

We are aware of reports that some customers’ Windows 10 Pro and Windows 10 Enterprise machines are not recognizing their licenses as activated. Users may receive the following notification: “Error: you are running Windows 10 Pro, but you have valid digital license for Windows 10 Home," or one of the following error codes 0X803F8001, 0xC004C003.

We are actively working to resolve this within 24 hours. You can still use your PC; however, the watermark will appear until activation is restored. Thank you for your patience.

We will update this post with additional information as needed and once activations are restored.

    What happens with Pro-only features like a domain join (including policy processing) and Bitlocker when a system is being reduced from Pro to Home?

    Same issue. Called MS Support. The first one started to argue that I have a wrong licence, blablasbla and kicked me out to an "Expert" colleague who told me the issue is under investigation.

    By the way, I'm wondering why the hell I bought a licence if it doesn't work correctly. Do we have to use activation hacks ??? Not considering to buy Window 10 Licences anymore for next computers....

    It won't fix a problem with the activation server so I would err on the side of caution.
