Windows 10: Sudden activation Error

I am sure everyone would agree how TIRING and annoying these constant issues have become. I have a question for Microsoft that really NEEDS to have a decent answer. Why should my system (or anyones systems) care about what the activation server is doing? My copy of Windows 10 began in pre-release, through Beta, and eventually to the retail release version - it HAS ALREADY BEEN ACTIVATED many times and is a legal (PAID FOR) copy. I do not like the idea that my operating system keeps "calling home" to MS to report that it is 'still here'. Seriously, why do you insist on this kind of activation? Once my computer and software have been verified, then that should be it! I should not have to rely on the activation server to say "it's okay, this person is still using a legal copy, keep it activated". I find this to be such a guilty until proven innocent type of thing to do....I get that you need to keep a handle on pirated software, but why does my system have to keep "checking in"? Especially without my knowledge OR CONSENT (yes, I am sure it is in the license agreement somewhere and I did consent unknowingly, but you get my point)....this SHOULD NOT be a continuous process! Once my system has verified as legit/legal there should be a flag turned off on the computer saying it no longer needs to keep trying to activate. I have paid for this software, and the laptop - that should be IT from Microsoft until I need their help. It would certainly stop these unprofessional "activation errors" from happening - this is the 3rd time Windows has done this over the last few years, and don't get me started on Office activation!  That happens almost monthly (and just DID happen last week!). Time for Big Brother Microsoft to go away and leave my systems alone!  Why can this not be the case? Not everyone is stealing from you; and you sure should not be penalizing the MANY because of the FEW!

I got this windows 10 activation error 0xc004c003  message for the first time  this morning .  I used to apply updates as soon as they arrive so my PC is up to date. I bought Win 8 Pro in the past then updated  free  to Win 8.1 then  Win 10. I append the following (sorry in french !)

I see it here in the UK. Two PCs. (Haven't checked the laptop.)

Seems that Microsoft is in a roll in terms of screwed up updates.

They should rename it Botch Tuesday.

I only have a handful of Win10 Pro machines....thankfully.  I did check one and while it is logged in, I fear the next reboot will be a mess.  It show it is Windows 10 Pro, but under activation, it has a button to activate.  I did not dare click as this machine is mission critical.
