I have looked everywhere in settings & control panel, & there is no longer a troubleshooter for hardware & devices. All of the other troubleshoot options are still listed , & there is no "view all." In 1803 I could access it in " update & security" then chose "troubleshoot" & it was the 4th one listed under "find & fix other problems" where "keyboard" is now. Unless Microsoft will come up with a fix, I guess the only solution is to go back to 1803?

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.
Please note that Hardware and Device troubleshooter was removed from Windows 10 starting from the build version 1809. The Hardware & Devices troubleshooter had the lowest daily usage was usually run in tandem with other troubleshooters, therefore it was determined it was no longer needed and specific troubleshooters should be used instead (i.e. Bluetooth, audio, etc.).

So what do you click on to Troubleshoot the Fingerprint Scanner that doesn't work with Windows 10? All instructions I can find is to click on the Hardware and Devices. It doesn't exist and I don't see what appropriate setting to click on.
Just because it isn't "used" doesn't mean the others are a good replacement. My touchpad stopped working. I've tried everything to fix it and the other categories don't really apply to touchpad.
Good job guys, now I have no way of getting my Xbox One Controller to work on my PC, I had it connect during the update, and now PC wont recognise the controller, I have updated and reinstalled all of the drivers and it still wont connect, I had the problem the first week with my PC so I just simply ran troubleshooter on hardware and devices to fix it... Now what do I do ? You are having a laugh if you think i'll be buying an Xbox Series X if THIS is how you are now doing things.
