Why is there no "troubleshoot hardware & devices" in 1809 update?

I have looked everywhere in settings & control panel, & there is no longer a troubleshooter for hardware & devices. All of the other troubleshoot options are still listed , & there is no "view all." In 1803 I could access it in " update & security" then chose "troubleshoot" & it was the 4th one listed under "find & fix other problems" where "keyboard" is now. Unless Microsoft will come up with a fix, I guess the only solution is to go back to 1803?

Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

Please note that Hardware and Device troubleshooter was removed from Windows 10 starting from the build version 1809. The Hardware & Devices troubleshooter had the lowest daily usage was usually run in tandem with other troubleshooters, therefore it was determined it was no longer needed and specific troubleshooters should be used instead (i.e. Bluetooth, audio, etc.).

    Seriously @Naresh_K / A.K.A. Microsoft?!?!

    How on earth am I suppose to fix my problem?!

    Can you guys notice that this problem has been addressed on the 2nd of January this year, and today there is STILL NO FIX TO THE PROBLEM!?!?!? UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!

    First of all, I HATE YOUR UPDATES, MICROSOFT!! Every freaking time I get a new update, it destroys my network settings! Drives me crazy!

    Second of all, one of my computers, doesn't recognize my USB PORTS! I am trying to fix my problem through Device Manager -> Universal Serial Bus Controllers -> USB COMPOSITE DEVICE (with the exclamation mark) -> right-click on it -> Update driver (all good, no new driver, still doesn't work!!!!) -> Uninstall driver -> Scan for new hardware.... AND MAGIC!!! IT WORKS!! BUT WAIT!! If I reboot my computer or shut it down, I am back to phase 0 AGAIN!!!! What am I suppose to do, when this USB is in fact, MY FREAKING KEYBOARD!!!!???? Every morning I have to leave on my desk, another keyboard (which I hate, but is recognized by my computer), so I can enter may password and then start the same process listed above, in DEVICE MANAGER.

    CAN ANYONE HELP ME with this matter??

    I am trying to use this troubleshooter to fix my bluetooth nont working in my laptop

    now why <removed> you have to remove it ????

    This is a dumb response from Microsoft. The latest MS update screwed up my Asus VivoTab Note 8 Touchscreen. It was dead. No touch response at all. Suddenly Windows 10 blew up, restarted the computer and took it upon itself to repair my installation, after which the touch screen actually worked, . . . until I used the Windows calibration tool to calibrate the screen, which tool is itself screwed up, not even displaying the full calibration screen. After I managed to get out of the tool, my touchscreen was dead again.

    The hardware toublershooter did one thing that I find important. It cleaned out old unused drivers from the devices, which Windows itself does not do apparently. This can at times cause newer drivers NOT to be installed at all. e.g. the touchscreen driver.

    Now I have a useless windows tablet.
