Hi,

I have gotten Blue screen many times since i just got my new pc 1 month ago.

Most of the times its when i play the Steam Game Civilization 6. It will crash at random times during the game.

So i stopped playing since im sick of my com crashing.

Most recently i started Guild Wars 3 and again the crash came..

Im starting to wonder if its because of some hardware configuration not done right that is why this is happening?

I custom build this at a local popular PC shop.

Here are the following parts -

AMD RYZEN 7 2700X CPU

GIGABYTE X470 AORUS ULTRA GAMING

COSAIR VENGEANCE LPX 3200MHZ 8GB X 2PCS

ADATA XPG SX8200 480GB M.2 PCIE NVNE SSD

W.D 2TB 3.5" SATA3 HDD

ZOTAC GTX 1070TI 8GB MINI TWIN FAN

SEASONIC FOCUS FW 650W

Here is the list of errors that i recorded in order:

  1. Stop code: IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL
  2. Stop code: DRIVER_IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL
  3. Stop code: DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION
  4. Stop code: SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION
  5. Stop code: KERNEL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILURE
  6. Stop code: SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED (What failed: storport_sys)
  7. Stop code: IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL
  8. Stop code: MEMORY_MANAGEMENT
  9. Stop code: IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL
  10. Stop code: MEMORY_MANAGEMENT

So in the past 1 month it has crashed like about 10 times.. Im starting to think it maybe more than just the game issues. Please help.

I have tried updating all drivers too

    When performing a clean install:

    a) boot to the windows 10 iso

    b) delete all partitions

    c) this should create an unallocated drive

    d) install a fresh operating system

    See this link:

    https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/1950-clean-install-windows-10-a.html

    After the clean install:

    e) Install drivers from the computer or motherboard manufacturer's website

    f) For any drivers that are needed and not displayed use the component manufacturer websites ( Intel, AMD, Nvidia, Killer Networks, Realtek, etc.

    g) Websites that search for updated drivers can install unknown files and should be avoided.

    h) Install applications

    i) Perform Windows updates

    j) Files can be restored after the above steps

ok i have been able to perform a clean install with a new microsoft productkey.

    https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/X470-AORUS-GAMING-7-WIFI-rev-10#support-dl-driver

I am at this website to install my drivers, but am not sure if i downloaded them correctly.

So far i have downloaded and installed

    1. AMD Chipset Driver [18.10.20]
    2. mb_driver_audio_realtek_8475_dch
    3. mb_driver_intel_bt_20.60.0.4

    4. mb_driver_intel_wifi_20.60.0.7

    5. mb_driver_lan_intel_v23.2

is there anything else i should download and install too?

like AMD RAID Driver or from the BIOs and Utilities?

Select the operating system > view all drivers

Install: audio, chipset, lan, sata/amd/raid, wlan+bt, bios should be f5,

    The utilities are personal preference.

Use the component manufacturer website for the GPU (Use clean install method), monitor, mouse, keyboard, printer, etc.

After installing drivers > perform windows updates

Open device manager > click view > click show hidden devices > manually expand all rows > look for any rows displaying a yellow triangle with black exclamation mark or unknown device > post images into the thread

To evaluate the BSOD please post logs for troubleshooting.

Using administrative command prompt copy and paste this whole command.

Make sure the default language is English so that the logs can be scanned and read.

Choose the applicable link for the operating system:

    https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/3813-language-add-remove-change-windows-10-a.html

    https://www.eightforums.com/threads/language-add-or-remove-in-windows-8.5849/

    https://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/87317-display-language-change.html

The command will automatically collect the computer files and place them on the desktop.

Then use 7zip to organize the files and one drive or drop box to place share links into the thread for troubleshooting.

    https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Share-OneDrive-files-and-folders-9fcc2f7d-de0c-4cec-93b0-a82024800c07

This command will automatically collect these files:  msinfo32, mini dumps, drivers, hosts, install, uninstall, services, startup, event viewer files, etc.

Open administrative command prompt and copy and paste the whole command:

    copy %SystemRoot%\minidump\*.dmp "%USERPROFILE%\Desktop"&dxdiag /t %Temp%\dxdiag.txt&copy %Temp%\dxdiag.txt "%USERPROFILE%\Desktop\SFdebugFiles"&type %SystemRoot%\System32\drivers\etc\hosts >> "%USERPROFILE%\Desktop\hosts.txt"&systeminfo > "%USERPROFILE%\Desktop\systeminfo.txt"&driverquery /v > "%USERPROFILE%\Desktop\drivers.txt" &msinfo32 /nfo "%USERPROFILE%\Desktop\msinfo32.nfo"&wevtutil qe System /f:text > "%USERPROFILE%\Desktop\eventlog.txt"&reg export HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall "%USERPROFILE%\Desktop\uninstall.txt"&reg export "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Active Setup\Installed Components" "%USERPROFILE%\Desktop\installed.txt"&net start > "%USERPROFILE%\Desktop\services.txt"&REM wmic startup list full /format:htable >"%USERPROFILE%\Desktop\startup.html"&wmic STARTUP GET Caption, Command, User >"%USERPROFILE%\Desktop\startup.txt"

There are two files for you to find manually:

    a) C:\Windows\MEMORY.DMP

Use file explorer > this PC > local C: drive > right upper corner search enter the above to find results.

    b) dxdiag:

In the left lower corner search type:  dxdiag > When the DirectX Diagnostic Tool opens click on the next page button so that each tab is opened > click on save all information > save to desktop > post one drive or drop box share link into the thread

After a clean install the startup and recovery system failure settings need to be modified:

    a) Uncheck automatically restart

    b) reboot to maintain the setting change

For any BSOD post two share links:

    a) one zip with the administrative command prompt command files with dxdiag

    b) one zip with the memory.dmp file (zip files < 1.5 GB)
