Hi,

I have gotten Blue screen many times since i just got my new pc 1 month ago.

Most of the times its when i play the Steam Game Civilization 6. It will crash at random times during the game.

So i stopped playing since im sick of my com crashing.

Most recently i started Guild Wars 3 and again the crash came..

Im starting to wonder if its because of some hardware configuration not done right that is why this is happening?

I custom build this at a local popular PC shop.

Here are the following parts -

AMD RYZEN 7 2700X CPU

GIGABYTE X470 AORUS ULTRA GAMING

COSAIR VENGEANCE LPX 3200MHZ 8GB X 2PCS

ADATA XPG SX8200 480GB M.2 PCIE NVNE SSD

W.D 2TB 3.5" SATA3 HDD

ZOTAC GTX 1070TI 8GB MINI TWIN FAN

SEASONIC FOCUS FW 650W

Here is the list of errors that i recorded in order:

  1. Stop code: IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL
  2. Stop code: DRIVER_IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL
  3. Stop code: DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION
  4. Stop code: SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION
  5. Stop code: KERNEL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILURE
  6. Stop code: SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED (What failed: storport_sys)
  7. Stop code: IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL
  8. Stop code: MEMORY_MANAGEMENT
  9. Stop code: IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL
  10. Stop code: MEMORY_MANAGEMENT

So in the past 1 month it has crashed like about 10 times.. Im starting to think it maybe more than just the game issues. Please help.

I have tried updating all drivers too

    1. Plan to use Windows driver verifier for 48 hours.

After the last BSOD run the tool for an additional 36 hours.

    1. What antivirus / firewall software products are in use (always on and manual)?
    2. Open administrative command prompt and type or copy and paste:
    3. sfc /scannow
    4. dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
    5. chkdsk /scan
    6. When these have completed > right click on the top bar or title bar of the administrative command prompt box > left click on edit then select all > right click on the top bar again > left click on edit then copy > paste into the thread
    7. Make a brand new restore point
    8. Windows driver verifier is a tool which is used to stress test drivers and cause crashes.

After each crash BSOD dump files are debugged to look for misbehaving software or hardware drivers, or malfunctioning hardware.

Read this link so that you learn the methods to turn off or recover from using the tool:

    https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/5470-enable-disable-driver-verifier-windows-10-a.html

Use this link for the customized test settings:

    1. For each BSOD:

    a) run the administrative command prompt command > post a new zip into the thread

    b) open file explorer > this PC > C: > seach for C:\windows\memory.dmp > if the file size is < 1.5 GB then zip > post a share link into the thread using one drive, drop box, or google drive
