Blue Screen of Death Windows 10

Hi,

I have gotten Blue screen many times since i just got my new pc 1 month ago.

Most of the times its when i play the Steam Game Civilization 6. It will crash at random times during the game.

So i stopped playing since im sick of my com crashing.

Most recently i started Guild Wars 3 and again the crash came..

Im starting to wonder if its because of some hardware configuration not done right that is why this is happening?

I custom build this at a local popular PC shop.

Here are the following parts -

AMD RYZEN 7 2700X CPU

GIGABYTE X470 AORUS ULTRA GAMING

COSAIR VENGEANCE LPX 3200MHZ 8GB X 2PCS

ADATA XPG SX8200 480GB M.2 PCIE NVNE SSD

W.D 2TB 3.5" SATA3 HDD

ZOTAC GTX 1070TI 8GB MINI TWIN FAN

SEASONIC FOCUS FW 650W

Here is the list of errors that i recorded in order:

  1. Stop code: IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL
  2. Stop code: DRIVER_IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL
  3. Stop code: DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION
  4. Stop code: SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION
  5. Stop code: KERNEL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILURE
  6. Stop code: SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED (What failed: storport_sys)
  7. Stop code: IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL
  8. Stop code: MEMORY_MANAGEMENT
  9. Stop code: IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL
  10. Stop code: MEMORY_MANAGEMENT

So in the past 1 month it has crashed like about 10 times.. Im starting to think it maybe more than just the game issues. Please help.

I have tried updating all drivers too

    1. Uninstalled and reinstalled Nvidia GPU Drivers (2nd time same method)
    2. Windows Auto Update have not been enabled by default.

    1. Could not find other version of Driver, used https://www.nvidia.com/Download/Scan.aspx?lang=en-us and downloaded same driver which is the latest one and reinstalled.

    The latest memory dump:

    Thu Nov 22 12:11:14.629 2018 (UTC - 6:00)

    Displayed bugcheck 139.

    The misbehaving driver was nvlddmkm.sys

    Perform the following steps:

    1. uninstall and reinstall the Nvidia GPU drivers as in the prior post.
    2. Temporarily turn off Windows updates of non-Microsoft drivers

    https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/48277-enable-disable-driver-updates-windows-update-windows-10-a.html

    1. Find a different version of the Nvidia GPU drivers, nvlddmkm.sys

(The version in the latest crash was 25.21.14.1694)

    1. Uninstall using DDU, reinstall from the Nvidia website making sure it is performed as a clean install.

(see instructions in the prior post)

When using windows driver verifier the computer may become sluggish.

The boots may become very slow.

Always make a brand new restore point before using the tool.

When using the tool all non-Microsoft drivers are tested simultaneously.

The number and type of tests impacts the performance.

When the tool is restarted customize with the 3 tests in this link:

    https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/5470-enable-disable-driver-verifier-windows-10-a.html

If the tool works properly with these three customized tests then increase the number of simultaneous tests.

If there are performance problems then you can add and subtract tests so that the drivers are exposed to the approximately 19 different tests over multiple runs.

For example if there are 9 simultaneous tests running and adding 3 more causes performance problems then change the number of tests back to 9 by remove some of the tests that had already been used to stress test the drivers.

Eventually all drivers should be exposed to all of the approximate 19 tests.

For replacement drivers, many of the component manufactures have driver detector tools.

Some require the use of a browser that has the capability to use Java (for example Internet explorer)

    https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/faq/gpu-driver-autodetect

    https://www.nvidia.com/Download/Scan.aspx?lang=en-us

    https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/detect.html

The best tested drivers are always from the computer or motherboard manufacturer websites.

For any driver not displayed the next best option is to install drivers from the component manufacturer websites ( Intel, AMD, Nvidia, Killer Networks, Realtek, etc.)

Ok, after reinstalling both drivers i tried doing what i did normally and the BSOD came again..

Stop code: KERNEL SECURITY CHECK FAILURE

    Cmd & Dxdiag

    Memory

Also, how do I run verifier and allow it to boot to windows again?

I did the steps to turn on veifier with all the options ticked except for DDI compliance checking and randomized low resource simulation.

Then it prompted me to restart.

Upon restart, this time there is no BSOD that i encountered earlier. However the screen could not diplay anything. The PC seems to be turn on but after the BIOS loading page, display just could not sense any input, PC still feel like its running normally but no display.

I then boot into safe mode and turn off verifier. Not sure if issue is resolved? Or have should I twerk the Veifier settings?

    https://www.amd.com/en/support/cpu/amd-ryzen-processors/amd-ryzen-7-desktop-processors/amd-ryzen-7-2700x

After uninstall and resintalling both drivers, Should i turn on the verifier again?
