That sedlauncher.exe file is part of Windows 10 update KB4023057 for Windows 10 which is designed to improve the speed of Windows Update Service components in your machine

    Reading the borncity blog articles - does that mean that everybody here has Comodo Internet Security installed on their Win10 machines? And if so that you can get rid of sedlauncher and such after installing another, non-Comodo internet security or firewall?

    As I previously said, it's all obviously part of some planned obsolescence gimmick; forcing everyone who doesn't own a high-end PC  to needlessly purchase a new one, purchasing an extra copy of Windows 10. It was planned all along since the so-call free upgrades, as they didn't wanted user to stick to theire perfectly suited old OS, like they did with Win XP years ago, or with Windows 7 not so long ago.

    Allot of updates last year are highly demanding on disk usage, windows ten is getting a monster in startups every startup. 10-15 min wait until u can get started is a real pain. Linux total time 2 get going 3 min with bootup . Whats more nagging that you have to do more work to get the renamed or renewed installed **** killed from auto running.

    Thanks for this.  It was scheduled for 6pm!  Why the heck do they schedule things like this to run when you are likely to be using the darned computer instead of at 3 in the morning?

    Better yet, why do they have things like this in the first place?  My computer just practically stopped responding when it started up!
