Error 805a0193 on WP8.1 devices when downloading/updating apps from the Store - NOW RESOLVED

I recently bought a Nokia Lumina 640 because i want to get some windows phone games for achievents. The first thing i try and download gives me this error.

I have searched and searched and i cant find a definitive answer on what the issue is and how to resolve it. It seems to be some error with my network, but what error? Is it a port thing? What ports does it need?

I did the steps the microsoft website suggests, which were to: manually change my time, manually sync my email, make sure to update my microsoft account, and finally, to reset my phone. None of that worked so i am looking for real answers.

This error usually comes up when there is a problem with the store on the Microsoft side. Usually the problem is resolved in a few days, please do not do anything with your phone, router or any other piece of equipment, no resets or reinstallations will make any difference and you may lose apps which are no longer available in the store. The solution can come only from MS and the only thing you can do is wait, no matter how frustrating it is.

What device and version of windows are you running? who is your carrier?

any error messages? a similar thread earlier notes other users experiencing store issues too so be advised may not be coming from your end.

Port triggering on your home router could perhaps and it may not..if a port is not open for your outbound traffic need (personal device needs to connect to windows based services.)..port settings in your routers configuration would show those ports to be closed...ports are labled by number IE telnet port 23 Http is port 80 https is port 443 so on and so forth) but this is highly unlikely. Here is why.....

Understand your issue first. It seems as if TONS of people...not just you are experiencing this. It seems device specific (site resolution error occurrence..client side and brand side problems reported when trying to complete a set action while connected to a windows service..)

Your device needs to be connected to the internet to do what your originally intending to do...so if not at your homes wifi, your phones carrier data network applies too when your not at home.. (no ports you can open here). Have you tried completing the action between both data connections (wifi, 3g, 4g?) same error?

If your issue truly is a port or firewall issue..it would mean that your internet provider may be using equipment with uncommon default characteristic settings where port triggering is necessary

...this rarely happens but is depending on where you live (what service your isp offers DSL?Broadband?PPOE?Fibreoptic?Satelite?) so.....contacting your isp customer service...speak to technical support...they would best be able to answer that.

did you watch this...has far more info in it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QIKvsUDrUOE

I hope this clears up why your havng the issue (not really your fault...it seems Microsoft/brand - Phone manufacturer - databasing - site resolution issues)

I will keep my eyes peeled!!
