I recently bought a Nokia Lumina 640 because i want to get some windows phone games for achievents. The first thing i try and download gives me this error.
I have searched and searched and i cant find a definitive answer on what the issue is and how to resolve it. It seems to be some error with my network, but what error? Is it a port thing? What ports does it need?
I did the steps the microsoft website suggests, which were to: manually change my time, manually sync my email, make sure to update my microsoft account, and finally, to reset my phone. None of that worked so i am looking for real answers.

This error usually comes up when there is a problem with the store on the Microsoft side. Usually the problem is resolved in a few days, please do not do anything with your phone, router or any other piece of equipment, no resets or reinstallations will make any difference and you may lose apps which are no longer available in the store. The solution can come only from MS and the only thing you can do is wait, no matter how frustrating it is.

This is Modern Sloppy Software Development at its best.
These guys are smoking too much weed. Sloppy software work. Sloppy software support. Sloppy practices (Office and Windows Color limitations, Default Windows 10 Desktop Email application can't paste a full email address correctly since it removes the first character from day One). Can't install two versions of the same application anymore like it was (Office 2003, Office 2000 or Office 2000 and Office 97).
Get the adults back to the table Microsoft, this is the only way you guys can solve that.
This is some problem that shouldn't exist. And if it did, it would should last an hour at most. 24 hours and counting. And some people having the problem for a month now.
Steam updated CSGO yesterday and did a complete **** with this Modern Sloppy Software Development (MSSD) methodology of theirs. Game was crashing without a reason for many people. But they had the attitude to fix it on the same day a few hours after the problem. Still, a community of millions, getting impaired by MSSD. Get real. Get adults back to the table. Stop these strange software practices. Keep things the same. Nobody needs to change what works. Go classic. Learn what is innovation and stop being STUPID.

What the hell is wrong with Microsoft these days? Everything is wrong. From the available colors at office to the Windows Phone Store not downloading apps by some stupid reason nobody can't explain.
