High Definition Audio Controller (Code: 10) Issue

Motherboard: MSI B360M Gaming Plus

OS: Windows 10 Pro

List of things I've done:

Downloaded audio drivers from MSI website

Updated my BIOS

Uninstalled and Reinstalled the High Definition Audio Controller

cmd commands: sfc /scannow & DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

Completely removed all other audio drivers and installed Realtek audio drivers (Which for some reason never actually appear on device manager?)

I'd appreciate any help I could get.

It started happening out of the blue; I never downloaded anything.

    JUST now i checked MB specs ,  i conformed that realtek codecs are embedded 

    so try these generic  driver

    Hi,

    As I mentioned earlier, I had same problem. The following process helped me out.

    Go to BIOS Setup.  Disable the Audio and Microphone. Exit the BIOS Setup. Re-Enable them after system restarts. It worked for me. Please let me know if it does to you.

    Against my better judgment I did a factory restore on my laptop, which should have returned all devices to working order. but this was not the case. I checked the 'hidden' devices in device manager, and in addition to the erroneously placed hd audio controller, there was a phantom installed realtek audio device entry. checking it's properties,windows reported that the device was not attached to the system. UH-OH..... there are only a couple of causes for this. one is the actual removal of the device, by either turning it off, or physically removing it (neither possible in this case) or the device has an issue so bad that it has stopped working properly. I quickly determined it was a hardware issue, and quickly returned the laptop.

    when not even a factory restore or a windows repair install will fix a device issue, 99.9% of the time, it is a device issue.

    I tried removing all phantom devices related to the realtek device as well as the device listed in system, and then manually added the device using add legacy device option, but when I did so, immediately after the driver install process started, I got a good, system thread exception not handled from rtkvhd64.sys. I may end up having to return to 1803 at this point.
