If you disconnect from the remote screen with the banner it does close. It is still very irritating when you are projecting because of the way it comes down any time you get near it.
Remove Wireless Projection Banner from Desktop screen
is it possible remove the new "Wireless Projection Banner" introduced in 1809 or at the very least move it so that it does pop-up every time I touch a tab in my browser?

2019-04-29T23:38:24+00:00 I can't even believe you keep posting this as a response all over the forums. Seriously pathetic. Clicking on the pin icon only works when you are connected, the icon is low lit and useless when not connected. this is a complete design failure. my presentations are getting messed up now because of this useless bar that i can't get rid of after disconnecting?

This is a huge problem especially since I work in a school district where all of our schools and teachers use Surface tablets and wireless projection for instruction. We've had issues where the bar won't disappear or tapping the pin doesn't remove it, and that has resulted in a major issue when the bar blocks browser tabs and toolbars that they need to teach with. Microsoft needs to make this an optional feature where we can toggle it off or on. At the very least, they should allow us to move the bar elsewhere on the screen.
