Remove Wireless Projection Banner from Desktop screen

Sorry this does not help.  The pin does not work every time and the banner remains long after the device is disconnected.  This banner is completely useless and must be exterminated by Microsoft.

It's easy to know when a device is disconnected, There is No projection!

Please fix this annoying situation.

The banner does not disappear.  Just now I made it go away by Sleep and Awakening.  This is a software problem which Microsoft must fix.

The way I've found to get the banner to remove is to go into my TV and remove my laptop from the list of "mirrored" devices.  After a few moments the banner goes away.  Pretty ridiculous to have to navigate through you TV menus to have this change on your laptop.  What this also tells me is the communications link is not really disabled with the TV even if the banner says "disconnected".

Microsoft, get rid of the banner completely.  The users can use the connect button on the notifications panel if they need a quick way to connect to a display wirelessly. Also, disconnect entirely from the TV when the disconnect button is pressed.

I understand that you want to remove the Wireless Projection Banner from the screen as it keeps popping when you open a browser. May I know, if the PC is still connected to the wireless display when you are using the PC?

Also, you can try clicking on the PIN icon next to the Settings icon on the banner to unpin it.

However, as per the section Wireless projection experience in the article what's new in Windows 10, version 1809, the banner is designed similar to remote desktop connection where it will be removed when the wireless display is disconnected.

  I am having the same problem. This banner is very intrusive and, since you can't move it away from the top of the screen, it makes accessing browser tabs, ribbon options, etc. very difficult. 

  On top of that, and what is most frustrating, is that if you disconnect using the Action Center > Connect option, as is my habit from previous versions of Windows, the bar becomes "stuck" at the top of the screen. Because nothing is connected, it can't be unpinned and there's no "close" option anywhere, so it's just permanently stuck there. The only way to remove it is to restart the computer or end the process in Task Manager. This can't possibly be the intended functionality for this, can it?

  I'm sure the intention was to have this bar make things more convenient, but it has done just the opposite. Its placement is very much in the way as most controls for most windows are at the top, exactly where this bar covers. While the ability to unpin is a step in the right direction, having it stuck at the top and having no way to disable/turn off the setting has become a large source of frustration, especially since I use Miracast daily.

It does not always close. Sometimes I disconnect from my wireless projector and the bar stays, and just switches to reconnect. I do not want to reconnect. I disconnected. The bar remains. To get rid of it I have to completely reset the computer. So dumb.
