Nice fix Ivan. I was going to dig into this and chase that down. Now I don't have to.
Every time Microsoft thinks they're helping me, they just irritate me. This one is small, but particularly irritating.

is it possible remove the new "Wireless Projection Banner" introduced in 1809 or at the very least move it so that it does pop-up every time I touch a tab in my browser?

also, can anyone verify if the .dll renaming survives Win updates, or if it needs to be redone after those?
I have the same concern. Ivan's fix worked great!!! But I don't want to go work on 40+ tablets and have to go back and do the process again!
If you disconnect from the remote screen with the banner it does close. It is still very irritating when you are projecting because of the way it comes down any time you get near it.
My problem is that the banner doesn't go away when the remote screen is disconnected. It exists, but all options are greyed out. How do I close it? I don't mind it there when it's connected because I can "unpin" it.
Oh my goodness - same with me! Even if I'm the one who disconnected, the banner sits there. The double-vertical bar on the left of the bar makes me think I can drag it but that does nothing. Options and pin are greyed out, I can only click reconnect.
Why won't this bar go away?
Click advanced. Then you will be able to search for your name. After you are the owner, you can give yourself permissions and then change the file name. Reboot after you change the name. Worked for me!!!!! SOOOOO happy. That was the dumbest thing ever. Completely useless and super annoying!
