Unable to disable Focus Assist

The Alarm App is a vital to me. I uses it for medication reminders. It has work flawlessly for me for a year. The Windows 10 update that introduced Focus Assist has rendered it useless. I've turned off all the options in Focus Assist. I've turned it completely off in the settings menu. I've been through forums, Google searches, I've tried everything I have found. This damn focus assist keeps turning itself back on and I'm missing my crucial alarms for when I NEED to take my pills. I toggle the feature to Off from the system tray and it stays off for about 1-2 seconds and then it switches from Off to the moon symbol. I need to destroy this feature. A DLL to delete, a service to uninstall, a registry edit.... Anything would be helpful. This focus assist garbage is breaking key essential apps that used to work fine.

Yep. I'm in the same canoe with no paddles.

I'd love to take "focus assist" off of my brand new computer, but I have not found a work-around yet.

I've tried everything I can do as a user, and the KHGFGIKLHGGKUYG thing keeps turning itself on somehow.

I'm going to try some other ideas soon - I'm beginning to think there is no way to defuse this bomb.

Whoever designed this "focus assist" =NEEDS= to allow a user to permanently disable it.

    Any ideas?

Thank God that I am not alone! I am also suffering from this focus assist. I keep opening my game center and sometimes I just do not hear the notification bar (which I wanted to). However, the sound stopped so I checked the focus assist, it keeps appearing in "notification tab", it keeps saying that "I have the option to turn of Focus assist" which i did, so I turned it off. However, it didn't, it keeps switching back to alarm. So, I've went to the settings to turn it off manually, however, it IT WAS ALREADY OFF, but in the "notification tab", it says "alarm". Can or May some please explain the problem!?
