This is one damn dumb fix... but it WORKS! xD
Audio problem on Logitech Z Cinema after October Update
Hi,
After installing October Update on Windows 10 volume control is not working (using Logitech Z Cinema speakers through USB).
Driver update, restart explorer, restart Windows Audio service didn't help.
Any suggestion ?
Thanks

2019-01-22T23:56:20+00:00 I honestly couldn't believe it would work but it really did. Well kind of. I can control the volume like before but I still can't turn on/off via the remote and activate srs surround.
Edit: Now that I used the speakers through aux for some time I can say for sure that the max volume is much higher via usb. Also bass and treble levels can be controlled via the taskbar Z-Cinema app but like I said before, no power on/off or srs control.

2019-01-22T21:52:29+00:00 Hello every body,
I'm agree with you, it is a realy good audio system and I had the same problem like you.
After lot of installation and unstallation of drivers, I tried every thing which was possible. I finally manage to make it work fine. I simply brutally unpluged the power supply of the speakers when all was on. I plug it again and switch on with the telecommand and all was working fine. I turn off the computer and restart, all is going fine. Don't ask me how what happen but it works ! Maybe an internal reset.
I hope it will work for you too.
Sorry for my approximative english ;-)
Wow dude, thank you so much!
It sounded too ridiculous to be true, but it worked! Even after reboot everything works fine just like before the update!
I bet Logitech and Microsoft wouldn't have come up with this solution, haha.
Guess you saved us all a lot of money!

2019-01-21T18:08:01+00:00 I somehow missed the reply about connecting to the auxiliary input, but I tried using this input and the headphone output on my computer. You need the remote to switch to the aux input, and I can't find my remote. So that doesn't work for me. If somebody knows how to switch to aux without the remote, let me know.
I also have these speakers connected to a Windows 8.1 computer and they still work fine except a few months ago I started getting an error every time the computer would go to sleep. "Debug Assertion Failed!" that pointed to the file dbgheap.c line 1279 which is a stack overflow on Visual C++ or so I understand. I don't know if a Windows 8.1 update changed something that is now giving this error and if this is not part of the problem we have with Windows 10 1809.
When I've contacted Logitech in the past, they have not been very helpful so I doubt if there will ever be a solution to our problem.
