Freezing is happening on newer systems as well.I forgot to mention this.
Unable to update Windows 10 to v1809. Freezing at boot after reboot.
I am not being able to update my windows 10 device. After all the update files downloaded, I restarted the system (2 times). But it freezes at a boot screen like the image. It doesn't boot up. Even the keyboard isn't working at this time. And after I force shutdown using button and restart again, it takes too long to restart. And everything is back to normal like previous.
Am I doing something wrong here? Is it only me facing this issue?
How to solve this or update my system? Someone, please help me.
PC specs:
RAM 32 GB
Graphics: NVIDIA 970
CPU: Intel(R) core(TM) i7-5820K @3.30GHz 3.30GHz

I've installed a UXtheme patcher and a theme. If its the problem here.

2019-03-02T14:25:58+00:00 I have a theory.Could there be new Spectre and Meltdown updates with 1809 that are breaking it.I know nothing about code but it seems possible.

2019-03-10T22:27:43+00:00 I have a Dell M65 Precision laptop which refuses to update to 1809.
If I allow the download and update, it reboots, and promptly locks up on the black loading screen.
If I download to a USB stick and boot off that to update, it locks up in the same place, early in the booting of the update process (before anything is applied).
Given the long list of complaints in this thread of similar problems, do you suppose that Microsoft and their crack engineers could eliminate it with the next update?

2019-03-10T22:45:30+00:00 I have had 1809 running for about five minutes before it freezes. It could be a driver issue but like I have said before it will freeze even in safe mode and even with clean boots. It could be the 1809 itself or a common driver that is just not well vetted.Clean install will usually solve it but it still freezes and CPU goes full tilt. The only way to fix this is on MS,s end because all my attempts have proved futile.

I'd be inclined to confirm this sort of issue with 1809 because even if I boot off of the USB created by the media creation tool, it locks up right after the windows flag is displayed before the balls in a circle are, and that would be without any of the HW drives I've added to 17134 Release 180410-1804 (so 1804?).
