Unable to update Windows 10 to v1809. Freezing at boot after reboot.

I am not being able to update my windows 10 device. After all the update files downloaded, I restarted the system (2 times). But it freezes at a boot screen like the image. It doesn't boot up. Even the keyboard isn't working at this time. And after I force shutdown using button and restart again, it takes too long to restart. And everything is back to normal like previous.

Am I doing something wrong here? Is it only me facing this issue? 

How to solve this or update my system? Someone, please help me.

PC specs:

RAM 32 GB

Graphics: NVIDIA 970

CPU: Intel(R) core(TM) i7-5820K @3.30GHz 3.30GHz

64 bit

    Is your CPU overclocked or not? I tried a few things to get my X99S MPOWER setup working with 1809 to no avail (modifying BIOS and mcupdate_GenuineIntel.dll). In the end 1809 just doesn't like overclocking when using a X99 chipset.

    Running with stockspeeds, I have no problems upgrading to and running 1809; it's only if I overclock (OC Genie or manual overclocking) that my MSI system is hanging right after booting...

    So I wonder whether build developer preview 1904 really fixes this problem or maybe that you guys just reverted back to stock speeds by accident?

    Writing from an X99 ASRock on 1809, no issues..

    The MSI is off now, but I'm pretty sure that there was no overclocking; I'll recheck tomorrow.

    Revert to stock speed, at least I can't remember having done that.

    I can't do anything now being on 1904: maybe someone else can try reverting to stock speeds to see if they can get around this issue.

    As I said the Developer's Release does bring some bugs, so staying on 1803 is surely better, but being on the Developer's (slow cycle initially) I couldn't get back to 1803 without reinstalling which I did not fancy.

    I could only deactivate updates for 7 days at a time before it tried again (using most of my super ADSL BW of 10 Mbits/s, please come to us fibre optics...). And failing.

    Well i dont have any OC or xmp profile or oc genie turned on. Bios is completely set to defualt so yeah whatever microsoft. Sorry but im also not going to jump ahead and deal with even more bugs. Oh well ill have to wait for raytracing even longer.

    Does Microsoft have any plans to work with partners like MSI to fix the 1809 and x99 compatibility issues and if so, what's the timeline?

    In the meantime, is there a MS-supported method of creating install media for pre 1809 versions of windows (i.e. 1803) so those of us with affected boards can at least get Windows working again?

    Same issue, looks like it's affecting a lot of MSI motherboards in particular.

    i7 5820K

    MSI X99S SLI Krait Edition

    16GB RAM

    HP x360 13-aco53tu does the same. Latest bios etc and yet damm you microsoft failed every time upgrade is attempted. 

    updates fine, reboots then windows spinning wheel then after a bit crashes and eventually restores to previous version 1803 thankyou god.

    Same problem, with an ASUS M5A99X evo motherboard.

    Back to version 1803, had an image.

    Bit of a mess with microsoft at the moment.
