Hi schmak,
Is there any solution with asus laptop?
I can go to install screen with usb boot then when it restarts freeze again on boot screen at spinning dots.
Sorry I don't have an asus laptop and my 2 asus PC's (4770k and a 2700X) both work fine with 1809.
I would follow MSFT's advice though and DO NOT install it, stay on 1803 (which is the current release since they rolled back 1809) until they officially release it.
I'm in the same situation: for a couple (?) of months the Insider Preview I (stupidly) joined tries to update the computer: MSI X99 Krait Edition and it hangs on boot.
I then try to disable the Insider Preview but can only do som for a week at the time...
It then starts trying to update again and consumes all by network bandwidth for a day or two.
Is there a way to permanently disable the update (until Microsoft and/or MSI) provides a fix?!
No, I'm not going to buy a different motherboard just due to a feature update
! (BTW, I'm "eagerly" waiting for an upcoming update that will kill of my Adobe CS6 installation and force me into a subscription service.)
I'll try the ISO and maybe the latest BIOS (7885vN9).
Any use trying to install drivers updates from MSI Site?
Maybe I'll try uninstalling Virtual Box and deactivating virtualization, which would be a pity.
Best regards,
Frank
