Windows 10 1809 17763.55 cumulative update BSOD WDF_VIOLATION on HP desktops.

After installing KB4464330 (build 17763.55) my HP EliteDesk 800 G3 the machine refuses to boot, ending with BSOD WPF_VIOLATION.

I was able to get the PC working again using an earlier restore point.

It seems that this problem at least HP machines:

I contacted MS support and was told that:

Actually HP computers are not the only product affected for this issue other computers as well like DELL etc. That's why for now, we’ve temporarily paused the update for people who seek to check for updates, to investigate an isolated reported issue and will make it available for download again once ready.

In another article, we have resolution steps if you still experience the Blue Screen.

We’re aware of the issue and working with HP to investigate.

    I had three machines with this problem. I had to use this order to get machine to boot. In my case system drive shows as C-drive on all machines.

    In recovery screen

    Advanced recovery options -> troubleshoot -> command prompt

    I renamed 4 files

    cd (to) c:\windows\system32\drivers

    ren HpqKbFiltr.sys HpqKbFiltr.old

    cd (to) wd (c:\windows\system32\drivers\wd)

    ren wd*.sys *.old

    After that I still had the "eternal recovery loop", so I had to use BCDEDIT to remove recovery

    bcdedit.exe /set {default} recoveryenabled No

    After that machine booted normally, I checked updates and moved on :-)

    I wish I had known this with the first machine as I reinstalled it, second took 1.5 hours and third was 10 minutes :-)

    the HP driver issue with update KB4462919 is this why my Dell XPS keeps looping within the update (download, initlize, load) stops at 25% load and start over again.  I am at 400 and would 

    like to stop the update, it killing my cpu cycles ?

    but when i type 'd' or 'D',it told me it's not internal or external commands,nor running programs or batch files. i really don't know how to solve this
