After installing KB4464330 (build 17763.55) my HP EliteDesk 800 G3 the machine refuses to boot, ending with BSOD WPF_VIOLATION.
I was able to get the PC working again using an earlier restore point.
It seems that this problem at least HP machines:
I contacted MS support and was told that:
Actually HP computers are not the only product affected for this issue other computers as well like DELL etc. That's why for now, we’ve temporarily paused the update for people who seek to check for updates, to investigate an isolated reported issue and will make it available for download again once ready.

Unfortunately not. I've tried several times and on different machines and keep getting the same error.
I had three machines with this problem. I had to use this order to get machine to boot. In my case system drive shows as C-drive on all machines.
In recovery screen
Advanced recovery options -> troubleshoot -> command prompt
I renamed 4 files
cd (to) c:\windows\system32\drivers
ren HpqKbFiltr.sys HpqKbFiltr.old
cd (to) wd (c:\windows\system32\drivers\wd)
ren wd*.sys *.old
After that I still had the "eternal recovery loop", so I had to use BCDEDIT to remove recovery
bcdedit.exe /set {default} recoveryenabled No
After that machine booted normally, I checked updates and moved on :-)
I wish I had known this with the first machine as I reinstalled it, second took 1.5 hours and third was 10 minutes :-)

Thanks for the help! I started cmd with administrator rights and it took me to the sytem32 folder. I tried seeing other volumes that might fit that description, but C: looks like it is it. I installed that kb4462919 update last night and this morning I can't stay logged in more than a minute or so before it gives me a BSOD with a Stop Memory Management error and reboots again. All attempts to get it to restart in safe mode or revert to an earlier date, etc. have failed.
If you installed the CU and started having a problem on Sunday night where you see the Stop Memory Management error in the BSOD after logging on, instead of WDF_VIOLATION and no logon, then you are experiencing a different problem and you're on the wrong forum thread.
You may be experiencing instability because of a Spectre and Meltdown patch from what I've heard. A BIOS / UEFI patch might help you but you're in the wrong place here and are applying a fix for a different problem.
