Windows 10 1809 update deleted all files from Documents!

Hello, If you were not so stupid then you would at least think rationally and go and look for it. You are angry and therefore cannot think sensibly.

And, how would you know if files have been moved, whether mega big or mini small??? There is no message left behind on the files to say it has been moved! No intelligent thinking shining! Just anger! And, just stuck stuck on Problem; NOT on Solution! 

The files are sometimes hidden under: This PC > C: disk > Windows or Windows.ooo or something like this > User.

So, better to go to User directly.

Hello, your document files are NOT deleted. I thought that too. Microsoft has made a mistake in saving files under a different name called ‘User’. 

Have you tried to find the documents using this method as walked through by a Microsoft technician?

Stop being stuck on a PROBLEM and being a moaner. Go into SOLUTION mode and solve the problem. And, a solution has been provided so use it. First try the solution and if it does not work then moan; not before.

Your reply is ridiculous of course ive looked for the files, but i can simply look at my hardrive and see the used space is much lower than it was, if they had simply moved this would not be the case, this issue happened to me 6 months  ago now, ive bought a new hard drive and swapped it so i dont have a risk of over writing the (hopefully recoverable) contents of the drive im far from angry at this point, i also build PCs and write software for a living, not to say that makes me a windows technician but is to assume i know my way around the operating system, please read the post entirely and know what the issue is before offering silly suggestions

When you first realise that there are NO files in your Document file, you PANIC and then two things comes to your mind.  These are:

1. Files are lost, or
2. Files are deleted. 

Yes, this WAS my problem and i at first came to two such threads and found no solution for lost or deleted files. Now resolved by a Microsoft Technician and coming back to give a solution so others can be helped under the new update to 1809. This is not a silly suggestion. It is tested and tried.

I also thought my files were deleted and also said that to the Microsoft Technician. He said that the previous problem was now resolved. True, they are not deleted. During the update to 1809, silly Microsoft went and saved it elsewhere! I was reacting the same way as you with the Microsoft Technician - full of anger (as you come across even if you say you are not) and therefore not rational!! 

Your problem must be different from the early days of update which you are stuck with now. Why not go to Microsoft instead of trying to resolve it on your own if still unresolved.

You have made no constructive contribution. Just want to kill the suggestion because of your previous problem! What a difficult negative thinking man! Just stuck in a negative mindset.

Im sure you mean well but you obviously havent read my posts on the matter, its much more complicated than that, have a good day
