The 1809 update is still showing on my "update"....I had downloaded and attempted to install but got a message that said "Windows could not configure 1 0r more components. To install Windows, restart the computer and then restart the installation". I have done the install, reinstall and all the troubleshooters and still the same message. Guess I'll wait.

2018-10-06T20:26:54+00:00 Updates have download 1809 and $Windows.~BT exists. However, it did not install upon restart and a restart notification did not appear even though View Update History indicates it is ready for a restart.
Can I remove $Windows.~BT? If yes, when the new update is available will it download the new one and install?

2018-10-06T20:01:14+00:00 The October Windows 10 update crashed my PC with error code 0xc00000e9, a Windows error, unable to upload windows or my files. Had a blue screen with no ability to recover my files or system. PCWorld found the memory deleted from hard drive and had to replace my computer, only purchased on 17th August 2018.
Perhaps Microsoft need to own up to the problems it caused and provide some compensation for its users due to the unexpected and devasting results of their latest serious update.
