as in the case of my Alienware, it took us awhile to finally get it back to windows 8, the hard drive still had windows 10 on it and could not be removed from the hard drive.  My computer now that has crashed after the update-----we can not get into it at all.  If I could go to Control panel I would be thrilled, but even Microsoft can not get past the blue screen.  Not to mention the other day they had me go in a change the Boot process on option 1 and then they tried that again today and that boot page was totally different than it was the day before.

I have no idea why the computer Euif ( think that was what the page was called) is different than it was the other day, but none of the listings on Option 1 is the same

I did have back ups.  The issue is that NOTHING will reboot the system at all.  No boot drive will allow access,  Microsoft has put me on hold so much it isn't even funny and when I do talk with someone, they get as far as the boot ( flash drive, boot reorganization, bios resetting ect) and they can not even get the computer to respond except with the same blue screen saying it cant do that.

How can I tell if only a few files are missing? I have thousands of files, and if only a couple get deleted, I might not noticed them.

    Thanks,

    Shane.
