Today both laptops in my household are now without audio. They are not linked in any way EXCEPT that they both had that automatic Win10 update. It's totally the fault of the update, so don't let them tell you otherwise, this is not a coincidence. I'll call Microsoft for a fix, and they better have a means to fix this. If I'm forced to accept updates, then they should be tried and true, not cobbled programs that are hinky to start with.

Anyway, I'll bet that there are more of us out there in Windows10 update land...

Fully agree 'Davey-Delliott' with your sentiments of 'people continue to just repost the OP's post with no additional comments at all' if you have these problems contact Microsoft in your local area! Its unfortunate and 'part of the course' but, you should always have a backup of your system, this is a very easy thing to do especially with 'Macrium Reflect v7) that can take a complete backup of your OP system that you can restore! This is a solutions that I have for the people that have lost files! I have never ever had problems with 1803, 1809 and all updates have installed perfectly (this is with an 8 year old laptop) no loss of files or any glitches at all, as a matter of a fact (I've been using MS Windows since the mid 80's) and there have been some doozies with MS Windows since then! MS Windows 10 has been the most stable, reliable and efficient OP system that I've ever used and/or has been around!

Hi, It's unlikely your audio problem is due to the October Feature update (unless you know for a fact it is) so I would post your own new thread before your posts gets lost in this thread.

But check your audio device drivers and if needed reinstall the driver.

When you do post your device make and model. Your current build/version of Windows 10.

I need help! All of the sudden my Audio Output device cannot be found- my PC told me to restart my computer so I did, but the issue is not resolved! I tried fixing it myself to no avail.

If it was 1809 then you won't have system restore but you should be able to roll back.
