Hi all,

Windows 10 October update rollout has again started from 13/11/2018.

    Thanks. I've only had this computer for a month or so and certainly don't use One drive or anything like that. All I know is that when I go to turn the computer off, whereas it normally just lets me shut it down, now the only choice to shut it down that I have is to update and shutdown. That's why I was worried as to what the update was.

    If you have activated "Known Folder Redirection (KFR)" for OneDrive then don't update, see MS for details on that, if you haven't then you can safely let it do an update. I've update to 1809 and its current patch  "2018-10 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1809 for 64-based Systems (KB4464330)" and all is working perfectly without any problems, the new Version 1809 (OS Build  17763.55)

    My computer asked that I turn off and update. Since I was told about the problem with Windows 10 now I'm not game to do that and am putting my computer into sleep mode instead. When is it going to be safe for me to turn my computer off and let it do an update. I'm not very computer literate

    Yes. When you install manually without online, You will lose all driver updates and the pc will appear in a bad resolution even you can't adjust brightness. I always recommend downloading feature update manually and installing because the size of the download will be same during updating through windows update or custom installation. You can use the iso when your pc has some errors later. So all users please download manually and update.

    Yeah well. But Microsoft has announced that they were re-releasing the same build.
