they deleted your email so this is the only communication I seem to be able to have with you.   I will try this but it will be in next day or two, I am getting over a broken leg and arm and can not even get on the floor, so will have someone come try this for me.  Thank you again and I hope this thread does not get deleted

Your welcome :) The best thing to do is to grab a spare hard drive, take the sata cable from your original drive and hook it to the temp Drive, If you can't locate an image of 1803, you can temporarily load 7 or 8, no need to register, once its up and running, power down, plug your original drive in along with the temp drive, boot from the temp drive, then you will be able to access your original drive and search for your files, copy them over to the temp drive or a external usb drive. Once you got all that, Disconnect the temp drive, reconnect the non bootable drive and try to install 1803 or an earlier version of windows, and copy the data over, copy, versus move. There are problems for SOME users. Not all, actually.

Then there is no big issue "everyone" is querying since I installed the Update and lost no files or folders whatsoever. So the question now becomes a: Was it the fact that I do not have the OneDrive App installed (I uninstalled it when Windows 10 was originally released  back in 2015 and never missed it) or is there a problem with a particular make of computer (or processor) that is causing SOME people to have files deleted?

It should still work. But be advised Microsoft is looking at some potentially serious issues that may be involved with the update. At least, on SOME devices.
