cannot save word files after 1809 update

my computer has just updated to 1809. now it seems i cannot save any files in Word. i am using Word 2013...

Any ideas what i can do?

    It did to me too!

    and as you may already know and noticed it's not the only unexplainable thing with 1809. That's probably the reason, why they don't massively push it through WU to users. Lots of problems!

    You've posted this solution numerous times and I hope it worked for many.

    However, this does not explain why 1809 changed my 2016 Word associations to WordPad! Yes my fix was simple enough - just change the .docx file association.

    Once you use a "FrameworkCulture" in your Regional settings there is no need to disable any addins.

    That's the point of the solution. To allow users to have the functionality required!

    The problem got resolved for my company when we changed the Regional Settings to Dutch. We didn't need to disable any COM Add-ins.
