hello , Yesterday I installed the 1809 update , and today i noticed that each time i restart my laptop the brightness level is being reset automatically to 0% or 25-50 i'm not really sure , and after windows will boot up , i will need to manually adjust the screen brightness again to 100% . I searched the web and i found this https://www.windowscentral.com/windows-10-october-2018-update-common-problems-and-fixes#fix\_brightness\_windows10\_1809 , and it might be an update issue i think  , by the way , my power plan is set to maximum performance and my laptop is always plugged in , and solutions or ?

Services in Windows do not always have the original English name it depends on your install localization e.g. in German it is called "Anzeigeverbesserungsdienst". No you are not looking on the wrong place it should be there. Open the properties for a specific service and look on the service name in the new dialog there you will see if you have found the correct service. Sadly it isn't possible to search for the service nor to sort them by their original English name. So you have to translate the service to your language and look for similarities.

However the service can be disabled by the commands in the post you have quoted (English service name).

I went into services.msc but I couldn't find the displayenhancementservice. I looked in two laptops and it wasn't there. Am I looking in the wrong place?

I have similar issues when I updated to Windows 10 1809. The brightness is stuck at one level and cannot be changed even when going into the settings and manually moving up the brightness level. I will occasionally work when I reboot the system a few times. This occurs on my Zenbook 13 UX331UA.

I have the latest (non beta testing) updates,  surface go, and I have the issue. The only "solution" is to restart or uninstall/reinstall the drivers. But by next reboot/ shut down and start it will habe again the issue. In my other Asus PC I have wifi issue after sleep (I have to turn off and on)...
