Windows Brightness issue after the 1809 update

hello , Yesterday I installed the 1809 update , and today i noticed that each time i restart my laptop the brightness level is being reset automatically to 0% or 25-50 i'm not really sure , and after windows will boot up , i will need to manually adjust the screen brightness again to 100% . I searched the web and i found this https://www.windowscentral.com/windows-10-october-2018-update-common-problems-and-fixes#fix\_brightness\_windows10\_1809 , and it might be an update issue i think  , by the way , my power plan is set to maximum performance and my laptop is always plugged in , and solutions or ?

    Did NOT help.

    on start up just kept doing the same thing back to 50%

    Restarting Display Enhancement Service does absolutely nothing.

    Double click Display Enhancement Service in the list.

    In the dialog box that pops up.

    You must  first STOP  at service status.

    Then set Startup type to DISABLED 

    Then click apply

    Then close out click OK

    I can 'almost' guarantee this will work if you follow these steps.

    Why surprised? 1809 was rolled out with known bugs, Insiders had been & have been advising Microsoft for months prior to the release. Microsoft doesn't listen/Microsoft doesn't care.

    I'm not mad, the issue affects me but does not bother me.

    Just doing my job, trolling useless spam post by someone should know better 

    On that note, Microsoft should make an official statement since it seems to be an all-encompassing bug affecting anyone who has a digital only brightness control for their display.

    I have disabled the DisplayEnhancementService and I can still adjust my brightness using the function keys on the keyboard. The display brightness in the power options are still gone. When I reboot, my brightness remains at the previous setting.

    So if you have a laptop with the vendor specific drivers for the keyboard function keys, this workaround will get you by.

    Just disable 'DisplayEnhancementService'  in services.msc and brightness will stay at 100%.

    This will not let you set it at any other setting (50%,75% etc,) but who does that anyway.

    This so called problem will be fixed April 2019 release as there is no more settings for brightness in the pre-release version now, unless they put it back.
