hello , Yesterday I installed the 1809 update , and today i noticed that each time i restart my laptop the brightness level is being reset automatically to 0% or 25-50 i'm not really sure , and after windows will boot up , i will need to manually adjust the screen brightness again to 100% . I searched the web and i found this https://www.windowscentral.com/windows-10-october-2018-update-common-problems-and-fixes#fix\_brightness\_windows10\_1809 , and it might be an update issue i think , by the way , my power plan is set to maximum performance and my laptop is always plugged in , and solutions or ?

2018-12-10T20:27:23+00:00 Something happened here: yesterday I reset the power plans in the XPS 13, and changed to the "balanced" option. Since then, the brightness is always working, with no freezing!

I have a Surface Pro 5 and after the updates, the adaptive brightness feature in advanced power settings is not longer there to turn on or off. I don't have a brightness slider problem but I do have that stupid intel adaptive brightness things going on when moving from dark to light or light to dark screens. I've tried the regedit trick hundreds of times and that doesn't seem to work anymore. I've rebooted and everything. I also don't have the intel software usually found when you right click on the desktop...but I've never had a Surface with that either.
So can anyone confirm this recent release (that fixed the slider issue) has also given us the "enable adaptive brightness" option back in advanced power settings?
I would like to buy the surface pro 6 but don't want this adaptive brightness issue anymore.
