Forget updating your graphic cards driver nothing works.use this.
- run Regedit
- search
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\Class{4d36e968-e325-11ce-bfc1-08002be10318}\0000]
- Find paramiter"FeatureTestControl" . Type is dword32. Insert value:0000f048
- reboot
Still doesnt work;
- run Regedit
- search
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\Class{4d36e968-e325-11ce-bfc1-08002be10318}\0001]
- Add paramiter"FeatureTestControl" in key .Type is dword32. Insert value:0000f048
- reboot
This might work but there are also other registry keys that probably can be used in this case. However I assume this has nothing to do with actual discussed problem in this thread. Because "FeatureTestControl" modifications are typical used for Intel Graphics when the brightness control is permanently and completely stuck. At least in my case this way the case.
I leave also some reference on this problem. I have/had this will with my XPS 14 when I update Intel drivers to generic ones.
