I wasn't aware of that script but it is great to have it pointed here, in case someone has no luck with this fix and needs to keep looking for help.

I think Microsoft should just try to develop and incorporate these fixes that seem to work as proper official ones for each Code error issue, available directly in the main help resources. I guess they ar actually doing that, but maybe this particular problem hasn't reached the number to deserve a specific treatment. Windows has become a so huge thing these days, I guess there is an incredible number of issues to deal with ahead in the queue.

As a fellow user and IT professional that has had to search a lot of information around the Internet and many times in this site, being able to share something has it's own value and reward as itself, and this feedback I'm receiving is just fantastic.

Eu importei de outro micro o registro e dessa vez consegui fazer com que o arquivo aparecesse no sistema mas o windows update insiste em não aparecer  no services.msc entao ainda nao consigo atualizar o meu windows. usando Windows update.

Acabei de resolver esse problema, não conseguindo encontrar nenhuma solução na Internet após vários dias de pesquisa, teste e falha, por isso estou compartilhando-a aqui caso alguém esteja na mesma situação. Espero que não seja contra nenhuma política que o faça.

Versão: Windows 10 Home / Pro x64 1803

Problema: Serviço ausente do Windows Update, como resultado da exclusão (sc delete wuauserv). Ação idiota estúpida, eu sei, mas na edição Home, eu estava sem ideias para evitar que atualizações automáticas não tivessem gpo.

             A execução de services.msc não mostra o serviço Windows Update. No Regedit, a chave [HKLM \ SYSTEM \ CurrentControlSet \ Services \ wuauserv] não existe ou está vazia.

             A atualização e o download da Windows Store também mostram erros

0x80070424 ao tentar atualizar as atualizações manualmente 

             0x80070006 após uma recuperação .reg incorreta

A solução de problemas de atualização do Windows, nas configurações do Windows ou https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/10164, falha na execução. A última solução de problemas também inclui a execução:

DISM.exe / Online / Imagem de limpeza / Restorehealth  sfc / scannow

Tentei usar um .reg disponível on-line para recuperar o serviço, localizado neste local: https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/57567-restore-default-services-windows-10-a.html. O serviço estava de volta, mas eu tenho o erro 0x80070006. Pode ser por ser uma versão diferente ou inicial do Windows.

Pedi a um amigo com uma versão Professional 1803 (também usamos idiomas diferentes para instalar e executar o Windows) para exportar o registro services \ wuauserv. Eu o importei, reiniciei e minhas atualizações estão de volta. Eu sinceramente espero que possa ajudar alguém lá fora. Boa sorte se você precisar usá-lo.

Importe o registro normalmente: copie todo o texto sob a linha no Bloco de notas ou em um editor de texto, salve-o, altere a extensão para .reg e execute-o. Aceite o aviso de segurança e reinicie.

I've just managed to solve this issue, not being able to find any solution over the Internet after several days of search, test and fail, so I'm sharing it here in case somebody is in the same situation. I hope it is not against any policy doing so.

Version: Windows 10 Home/Pro x64 1803

Issue:    Missing service Windows Update, as a result of deletion  ( sc delete wuauserv ) . Stupid stupid action, I know, but in Home edition, I was out of ideas to avoid automatic updates not having gpo.

             Running services.msc doesnt show the Windows Update service. In Regedit the key[HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\wuauserv] doesn't exist or is empty.

             Windows Store update and download also show errors

error:    0x80070424 when trying to refresh updates manually 

             0x80070006 after a wrong .reg recovery

Windows update troubleshooter, both the one in the windows settings or https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/10164 , fail to run. The last troubleshooter also includes running:

DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth  sfc /scannow

I tried using a .reg available online to recover the service, located at this place: https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/57567-restore-default-services-windows-10-a.html . The service was back but I have then the error  0x80070006.  It might be due to being a different or early Windows version.

I asked a friend with a Professional 1803 version (we also used different languages for install and run Windows) to export his services\wuauserv registry. I imported it, restarted, and my updates are back. I honestly hope it might help someone out there. Best luck if you need to use it.

Do the registry import as usual: copy all the text under the line in Notepad or a text editor, save it, change the extension to .reg and run it. Accept the security warning and restart.
