    Hi OriSag,

    Thankyou for your response.

I can confirm that my failing laptop situation is the same.as your report.

I have just retested and results are:

Choose Folders selected >>97% completed >> Fail 0x80070013

    Choose Folders deselected >>Completes Successfully.

I have two computers, one with Windows Pro and One with Windows Home.  After updating to Windows 10 version 1809, backup with "Backup and Restore (windows 7)  was unsuccessful with Error Code 0x80070013, Media is write protected.

I was able to get a successful back up by changing the backup setting for "What do you want to back up" from "Let Windows Choose (recommended)" to "Let Me Choose"  and then selecting the appropriate folders to backup.

It's not a fix, only for some.

I specifically opened OneDrive, signed in, disabled "Files on demand", tried backup again and still the same bloody error.

Good for you the fix worked.

OneDrive, after the 1st, maybe 2nd total loss of data .... W7 BU will become REALLY popular again.

As for the cloud ... My personal data wont be going there.

I would prefer Microsoft to fix the bug, rather than this techno babble gobbledegook excuse workaround.
