Windows 10, Version 1809. Network does not show computers

In Win10, v 1809 I go to "Network" in file explorer and no computers are showing - neither my computer nor other computers on the network.

I was able to find the ip address of the computer I was searching for and successfully ping it via command prompt.

Any ideas?

Hi,

Just wanted to add that I have the same problem as fg2001.

On my side the problem seems to have started the moment I renamed the computer to something else than the default and annoying desktop-xyz.

Also, no wifi card on this computer. Only an "Intel(R) Ethernet Connection (7) I219-V

What is your current level of Windows 10 ?

The workaround for the problem is different depending on the level of windows.

Agree. Timing seems to the issue. After 1903 update changing FDRP to delayed auto start seems to have made one of my x299 machines happier. ... at least for now. Network neighborhood does load a little slower the first time after a boot.

No. It got cranky again.
