My epson perfection v700 scanner (that allows me to scan photos, negatives, documents, etc.) and that I paid over $800 for) stopped working with teh latest update two days ago. I've downloaded a new driver and other software from Epson and it doesn't work. Can I uninstall this update? I like my scanner a whole lot more than I like Windows.

I contacted Epson support  on June 7th because my Workforce WF7610 would only do one scan then crash since Win 10 version 1803 this is what they replied to me

We are aware of this issue and our highest technical department in Japan is working on a solution in conjunction with Microsoft. Please keep an eye on our software updater as this is where the fix will most likely be coming from: ftp://download.epson-europe.com/pub/download/6281/epson628188eu.exe

I am still waiting for a new driver to be issued!

I have an Epson XP-830 with the same problem.  Pending a real fix from Epson/Microsoft (don't care which and why a fix is not out after 3 months is a mystery) what I have found works for both manual scan and ADF scans is a) right click the Epson Scan icon; right click on Epson Scan; left click on Run As Administrator; left click Yes; AND run as many scans as you need in desired mode(s) but do NOT open any other program on your PC that requires the system to "do" any processing.  I can scan while watching TV using SiliconeDust; can close/open/minimize Windows Explorer; can change scan modes (single page; ADF; change output PDF><JPG) based on saved scan settings with no problem.  However, if I try to do anything while scanning in Excel/Windows or edit a PDF scan in Adobe Pro then Epson Scan locks up.

Have read all 6 pages tonight and I have either tried it all or have tried the fixes tonight and nothing worked. Hoping to get a fix soon as I have a ticket logged with Espon and apparently it has gone to tier 3 support at their office in Sydney.

What Epson product do you have and what is the operating system you are using (eg Win 10 64 bit?) Is the problem that Epson scan crashes?

    Kind regards

    Chris

    Epson V600 scanner.  Windows 10 64 bit.

Yes, issue was that Epson crashed.  Now as long as i don't minimize it i can do anything change any settings and it is ok.
