Google Chrome Notifications in Windows Action Center Won't Load Pages When Clicked

With the most recent update to Google Chrome, push notifications are now in the Action Center.  This would be fine, if clicking said push notifications actually opened the page referred to IN the notification (example would be YouTube video notifications for subscribed channels).  Instead, it just makes the notification disappear.  How can this be fixed?  At it is, seeing a notification for something and then having to go manually search for the item is beyond useless, and defeats the entire purpose of a push notification.  Thanks for any assistance provided in advance!

    Thanks for the additional information, DreadLight.

    Kindly bear with me, I've submitted a report to our developers to check if this is a possible bug and asked a colleague of mine to recreate this issue just to check if he'd get the same thing. We'll be checking for other triggers, and configure some settings both in Chrome and YouTube just to make sure.

    I'll post back as soon I get an update from them.

    I appreciate your response.  If this helps, when the notifications first appears (as an actual pop up rather than being placed in the notification center), if I click on it before it is relegated back to the Center only, there is a chance it will open the new tab/window.  However, if the notification has already been logged in the center, it will not under any circumstances load a new tab/window when clicked.  I hope this is of help to you.

    Hmm. So this only affects YouTube push notifications? 

    I have the same version for Chrome and same OS build for Windows 10, but all seems to be working fine.

    I'll try to further check on my end. But I just need to confirm one more thing.

    Let's say both of the notification came from the same YouTube channel you're subscribed to, then when you tap on the first notification, it launched a tab or new window in Chrome. When you tap on the second notif (still coming from the same channel), does the second notification just disappear without opening a new tab?

    I'll try to experiment around and see if this also affects other notification from other apps or programs.

    I'll keep an eye out for your update.

    I've recreated your issue and all seems to be working well.

    I'd need to confirm some details so we can further check: 

    Does this only happen to Chrome push notifications?

    Which Windows 10 version and build are you on?

    Type winver into the Cortana search box, then hit Enter.

    Try to uninstall, then reinstall Chrome or check for any pending updates.

    Thanks for your response.  I have confirmed Chrome is up to date - Version 68.0.3440.106 (Official Build) (64-bit), and uninstalled/reinstalled the software.  According to winver, my version of Windows 10 is 1803 (OS Build 17134.228).  When I click other push notifications, it will load the location related to said notification (news, downloads, updates, etc).

    Since posting this, 2 out of 10 Chrome push notifications (all from YouTube, if that has any relevance) have loaded new browser tabs when clicked.  The remaining 8 do as previously described; simply disappear when clicked.

    I look forward to your response, and am happy to provide any further information to assist.
