how to fix Sihost.exe-systems warning hard error not known windows 10

Same problem.....but auto updates do not work, so we are stuck, thanks to Microsoft

Hey guys after trying out the dism command in command prompt and the SFC command I still haven't gotten my searchbar or windows icon working after the most recent Windows Update. Also I have a sihost.exe error that when I acknowledge kills my desktop display and taskbar, but my computer still works and I can get at all my data and such via the task manager from Ctrl-Alt-Deleting. From what I can tell the issue has to do with services not being properly turned on, in fact I noticed when looking through things even Cortana seems to of died from this most recent update. I hope Microsoft offers a patch or fix for this soon.

I faced this problem too. First it was the black screen with a long message. I restarted my com and then I received Sihost.exe and explorer.exe error messages.

Looking through all the various suggestions gave me a headache (total tech noob here).

What I did was forcing my com to enter automatic repair (reboot the com 3 times).

Troubleshoot and head all the way to Restore previous version.

The restoring took about 15-20mins for me and my com is back (and hence I can type this).

I think this would be the easiest way. I don't know if it will work for everybody but it worked for me. I'm taking extra precaution not to let windows update again until this stupid update issue is solved for good.

thanks @eling1, this work for me, i've tried three times, the first two trying was failed, but the third was successful, for step number 4, i choosed not to update, and it works. 

perhaps this solution will overcome your problem too, thanks for all answers.
